:: Spring Begins :: Equinox Exercises for Exploration

Welcome to spring!  It kicks off Sunday with the official equinox.

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
~ Percy Bysshe Shelley

Right now is the best time to connect with the clarity you have learned from the dark winter while it's fresh.  The long cold season has left Earth bare and the rain has washed it clean.

The changes of the seasons are reflected in ourselves as well.  By making the most of this opportune time, we gain a clearer perspective before planting, fertilizing, and nurturing our seeds for this new yearly cycle.  Using this process consciously can make significant shifts in what you harvest in fall for this year.

Exercises for Exploration and Growth

Sunday:
Be aware of what instincts and desires you have all day. Take note of what arises.  Just simply note feelings and as you write them down and review, you'll start to see patterns and tune into what's rising with you.

Before the weekend is over:
Make it a priority to create a sacred space for yourself to enter. Whether it be at a beach, mountain, some other beautiful place in nature - or in your cozy home with candles and incense - create a space that feels nourishing.

Take a little bit of time to retreat into yourself and get clear on what you will focus on this cycle. First, brainstorm (and/or heartstorm) all the things you want to do on one level or another. Let it all out.

Over the next week:
Take your notes of what desires arose and gather any other lists of goals that you've had in the past. Review all of these ideas together and see what rises to the top. Pick just a few ventures to invest your energy into - the creme of the crop - so that you can focus on them and still have balance with free-time, you-time, and time for your relationships as well.

Make these goals priority above all the little things that come up each week. Follow up by checking in weekly to make sure they are moving forward, even if little by little.  (I recommend your Daily Seed HandBook for this, of course!  A new one is launching next week).

One little step a week will move you a great distance when you reach fall.  More is even better.  Have fun with each of them.

Would love to see your feedback about this exercise.

Here's to the most fun and beautiful time of the year!
