Universal Fears and Mirrors of Relationships

My notes, adapted from Gregg Braden's book Walking Between the Worlds, one of my most life-altering reads from my all-time favorite author. The Three Universal Fears Your charge of universal fears, though often unconscious, is your promise that you will create patterns of relationships showing you these fears. With few exceptions, our experiences of pain, suffering, illness, disease, and emotional trauma have their roots in these core universal fears. These are the three basic underlying fears many of us experience: 1. Abandonment and Separation We feel left or abandoned by our creator without explanation or reason. We feel alone . (Ex: "our father who art in heaven" vs. "our father who is everywhere"). Expressed as : relationships where you are devastated when they fail, always being the one who gets "left" in the relationship, and/or being the first to leave a good relationship so that you are not hurt. 2. Morning Star.  Traces of the universal feminine goddess ~ the Divine Mother ~ widely known as Amma, Tara, and Mary, are found the world over. She is known universally for her remarkable compassion, deep inner wisdom, and exuberant love.  Many women today have realized their inner connection to the Divine Mother. These enlightened women reflect her in that they have fantastic spiritual powers, possess incredible strength, and are very aware of their selves and their emotions. A woman who has developed this connection knows very well how to take care of her self. She cannot be manipulated, defined, or ever entirely known. Her wisdom shines as a playful mysteriousness.
