A Great Set of Tools

To be serious about anything, you’ve got to get the best set of tools you can get your hands on. Tools are not just for handymen. Superheroes are even more super because they have a perfect gadget for the job. Superman had an indestructible cape that offered him use of a pocket, carried a disguise, and always wore his mighty S shield. Wonder woman had special bracelets, a belt that contained a miracle metal which enabled her to deflect bullets with her wrists, and a golden lasso that wrangled her opposition.   Now, y ou may or not may be a superhero.  Either way, tools empower everyone.  What’s important is that you have the tools that are right for you . It can be very reenergizing to set your self up nicely for your next work session. Taking care of all the details, refilling your supplies, and improving your tools can help you dramatically increase your efficiency and creativity. Take some time to check in on the tools you use. ...

Rise and Shine!

Catch the Desire to Rise, Consistently… There is something special about entrepreneurs.   We have a different view on life.   We see through a different lens.   This lens magnifies opportunity, vision, and possibility.   We believe we can do it.   We make it happen.   We follow through with our steady drive as we develop and reach for our goals. We find a way to get what we want one way or another.   We’re tuned in to our inner voice.   We stand up for our ideals and truth, even in the face of fear.   We thrive on living life to the fullest. "You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."   - Woodrow Wilson However, we all have our days.   Sometimes it seems we’ve lost some of the air in our balloons.  ...

Just One Step at a Time

Life is challenging. At times it seems like a test - or perhaps a final exam. It can feel like a culmination of your previous lessons where everything is on the line and every move you make is extremely important. At these pivotal points - and sometimes in our regular daily active life - it can seem impossible to make it. Or perhaps not worth the trouble. But these challenges are the exact things that we need to grow. As we master our smaller lessons, they get bigger and may seem impossible at times. It's important to trust, especially when everything is on the line. Notice it always works out somehow. Check your faith and your "talk" or ideals. While you're at it, step more fully into it. "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see". ~ Hebrews 11:1 Although you can't always see how everything can work out, you often can see the next step to take. There may be several options and it m...

Out of Balance

For the last week I have been in overdrive – working way beyond my usual template of time – in an effort to make a big leap forward . Things needed to shift one way or another so I decided which way I preferred and went full blast ahead, working hard all day and all night. The results were far better than I conservatively foresaw, however it was extremely draining. After a week of working myself so hard, I spent nearly three full days recuperating my energy. I felt almost energy-less throughout those three days without much ambition to do anything extra at all. Actually it was difficult to just get done what needed to be done. What made it so tiring was that I had put aside my most treasured daily rituals and doing what makes my heart sing – all to focus on leaping through this tight window. I gave up many of those things that usually refresh and replenish my energy (such as baths, writing, games, etc). I sacrificed my usual vast timelessness for results....

Replenishing Energy Throughout the Day

Breaking up large projects or heavy mental activity with physical activities can refresh your energy and concentration, allowing you to get done much faster – and create much better work. Every so often, take a break. Get off the computer, get out of your chair, get up, and do some type of light physical activity. Try going for a walk or sweeping. Setting up your environment and cleaning it so that it’s clear and feels good to be in not only breaks up your energy, but also helps you focus on what you want to get done. A workspace that is ready encourages your higher development of the work that you are committed to. Do whatever feels refreshing for you. Before your settle back in, make sure your desk is clean, your mind is clear, and you have all the tools you need within reach. Get yourself a drink of water to keep near. Tea is also a great way of kicking up light energy. When all is in order, you can focus on your magic and fly through your project w...
