A Fresh Start: Organize Your Work Space

Having your work space set up optimally is foundational to being productive on greater levels. When certain conditions are present, you become more attracted to the space and drawn there naturally. It also allows greater accomplishment as you are able to focus on your magic with all your tools at hand.     Here are some step-by-step tips I've found that help me be my best: Step 1. Totally Reorganize/Pre-Organize. Clear out your old stuff to create space. To get started, freshen up your area. Schedule an evening or weekend to box old files or shred them. Simplify and let go of what you don’t need and haven’t looked at for years. Only keep current files in one central box or cabinet that is easily accessible and near your workspace. Think bigger than you ever have before. Create a tornado effect followed by the world’s best clean up/restructuring crew. “Next to the dog, the wastebasket is your best friend.” ~B.C. Never enough time? Too much to do? Take a quick look at these tips. Problem #1: No Structure. Solution: Organize! Taking a few moments at the beginning of your day to put together a basic structure is the #1 way to save time.  This doesn’t mean you need your life scheduled to the minute.  Just a short “ Organization Session ” can work wonders. It will save you TONS of wasted time most spend in urgent mode. And will also save you from the suddenly recalled tasks to do at 4:59pm. Problem #2: I Can’t Just Move Forward. Solution: Create Space. Make your priority a true priority. Don’t put it off. A few tricks can help it finish up in no time. Check your email and voicemail only a few times a day. Two would be ideal. Divide large tasks up into smaller ones. Concentrate on a few projects and finish them up. Going back and forth diverts attention and wastes several minutes each time trying to get your focus back. Let others know this is your policy and have ...

Stop and Smell the Flowers

Flowers are a wonderful reminder of the power of beauty.  Notice the symbolism they reflect for the individual, love, friendship, and much more. Take some time out and open to what is triggered within you as you read this... A ripe bud is ready to pop open.  It takes its own sweet time. Pedals spread wide in full bloom, displaying an amazing sight.  A glimpse brightens the day.   The flower emits a luring essence.  A simple sniff awakens joy.  Senses are teased and satisfied by their encounter with this beautiful flower. Before long, the flower dries out and then falls.  It's over.  The flower returns to the dirt. Soon after another bud sprouts. The cycle continues.... Flowers are reflections of us.  They  grow best when well nurtured and each with its own needs with different levels of these requirements - such as water, sunshine, air, and nutrient-rich soil . “And the day came when the risk to remain tig...

Love Is

“…And the greatest of all these is love.” ~Corinthians You could explore and study love for your whole lifetime and still never fully understand it. You may only catch a glimpse of its fascinating possibilities. Love is one of those expansive eternal forces - far beyond our senses’ ordinary perception. It is something many dream of, imagine about, and wait for. Some say love is the essence of all there is and that love is the answer. Some say love hurts or it doesn’t even exist. Some prophets say that there is only love or fear at the root of everything - and that love is the only truth. We all have different versions and understandings of love - which evolve throughout our lifetime. They may range from a feeling for a soul mate to one about a favorite shirt. Love can be a sweet nickname or a feared word. Some express it with tenderness, others with strength. Some say I love you to everyone. Some reserve it only for “the one”. Others never say it at all. It can be as simple a...

Spring Forward: The Essence of the Spring Season

Beginning. Planting Seeds. This Sunday spring officially begins!  It's my personal favorite change of the year in which the flowers bloom and the weather warms up. Spring marks the beginning of the annual cycle of life. Many ancient systems such as the astrological, Egyptian, and Persian calendars celebrate their new year on the vernal equinox⎯the first day of spring. Held in the cold Earth during winter, seeds and bulbs have undergone changes invisible to our eyes. Bulbs that contain flowers such as daffodils are now blossoming. Nature reflects what is happening within us.  As spring time blossoms, many great achievements are born from a small, dark space. All of the information that you collected during winter is now ready to be utilized and grow. As spring begins, Earth wakes up from hibernation, anew. The land covers with green vegetation and fresh life is everywhere. On the equinox, day and night are closest to being equal in length. Over the season, th...

I AM

Breathe in and out.  Let go of your busy mind for just a moment.  Step into the sanctuary of your heart for a quick replenishing and refreshment. I AM Peace Centered and still inside regardless of the hustle and bustle outside. Love I emanate joy through the jealousy and hopelessness I encounter in my day. Strength I rise consistently through my adversities, applying the wisdom they bring. Abundance All I ever need, IS. Once again, I remind myself: All I ever need, IS. From here, I enter the game again... connected =) by Danielle Crume © 2010

Love Is Simple

Sometimes I'm simple. Sometimes I'm really not. Sometimes I say just a little. Sometimes I say a whole lot. I truthfully enjoy simple symbolism most - due to its infinite interpretation. However sometimes being showered with detailed keywords is best to trigger just the things that are needed to click. Today when I have a billion things to do, I take a long hot bath.  It's been a while.  I gotta stay motivated and have fun or else this wonder woman gets bored.  And as expected, the space for creativity proves superbly refreshing - again.  YAY!  Now I can blaze through my to do's with motivation and my treasured essence of excitement. I had previously written a loooooooong post on what Love Is .   Here is the short, sweet version.  Fresh from the heart. Love Is Fun A Refreshing Presence Romantically Thoughtful Loyal, Royal, There Growth Sparking Reaching for the Stars Together Sweet, Sizzling, Powerful, Surrender Space to Be Y...
