My Specialized Services from the Heart

For ten years I worked in the corporate culture and s pent most of my lunchtimes dreaming of a better way. And although I worked for outstanding companies, I sought more. I wanted to do my own thing. I dug deep and found my calling in my heart. I worked hard for over seven years at developing that passion into my own business. Under the guidance of several amazing business own ers and leaders, I learned how to manage business. Throughout my corporate life as an Accountant and Office Manager, I became an expert on time-management, accounting, organization, communicating effectively, providing high-quality service, creating useful reports, prioritizing, and maintaining high levels of information. In my own exploration as a business owner, I learned how to develop projects, build a web presence, write, and figure out how to handle all of the various other things that business owners need to. I have been very focused on nurturing my services for the past several yea...

Communication and Dealing with Conflict

Communication is essential in every relationship, especially those that we are closest to and depend on. Partners can best recognize and find solutions to difficulties and challenges by working together - finding mutually acceptable solutions and growing closer than ever before. When done in a healthy way, sharing your feelings creates outstanding growth in relationships. Please note that it is very important that you first process your emotions and vent your anger or frustration before approaching your partner. It is not helpful to bring undealt with feelings – it may make the situation worse. Before beginning, make sure you and they are both “deal-with-able”. Many times people try to communicate their feelings, but what they say is misunderstood. In fact, it has been clinically proven by UC Davis professor Michael Motley that what women say is often believed to mean the opposite and vice versa. What someone may mean to say, what comes out, and what is...

An Affirming Healing

Last week I was down and out with a terrible flu. I awoke one morning feeling like I’d been hit by a train. My entire body was extremely achy in every possibly place. I had a fever, was very nauseous, felt cold, and had a strong headache that made me nearly useless. I lay in bed as much as possibly for four days to help speed along the recovery. I didn’t eat much but did drink lots of water and soup broth. I nurtured myself full-time as I felt driven to heal this bug. My back pain was unbearable. There was nothing I could do to just get comfortable enough to drift off into a restful sleep. As I lay there in pain, I recalled the metaphysical probable causes that Louise Hay teaches in her book “You Can Heal Your Life.” In this book she shares her findings from working with millions of people to uncover the deeper meanings behind their physical ailments and diseases. She’s researched the most common causes of body behaviors and diseases based on people’s modes of thi...

Start with Being Present

It’s a Fast Paced World Everyone has a million places to be and a million things to do at any given moment. It can be very difficult just to decide how to allocate your energy throughout the day. It’s almost a permanent stress that we’ve grown accustomed to. Life wasn’t always this way. Not too long ago, the day was much slower paced. Once upon a time, you’d send a letter that could take months to arrive at its destination. Now we have emails, texting, micro-blogging, telephones, TV’s, and a million other things that we check into all day long. Creation itself is speeding up at rapid rates. All of this activity can be quite overwhelming. It can be a lot of fun and create lots of opportunities like never before as well. However, it’s helpful to put into perspective. We are BUSY people! Be particular and selective of what gets your attention. Don’t give excessive amounts of energy to things that are un-deserving. Invest your time and energy into things that are ...

A Nice Surprise!

Last week on a morning when I had "bad news" looming over my head, I got a nice treat that was unexpected. My article My Favorite Writing Habits and Approaches was featured in the Mom Bloggers Club newsletter. It is sent to approximately 6,400 moms who love to write - just like me. :) It was a wonderful surprise at a time when it was especially meaning. It was funny how happy it made me feel inside. Yay! I actually got three unexpected surprises during that tough week. Each of them were key in my shift forward and meant the world to me at the time. I'm sure my mindset helped to attract them. Rather than worry, I went full speed ahead and trusted as much as I possibly could. Here's to more "unforeseen" happy news during these crunching times! :) by Danielle Crume © 2009

Out of Balance

For the last week I have been in overdrive – working way beyond my usual template of time – in an effort to make a big leap forward . Things needed to shift one way or another so I decided which way I preferred and went full blast ahead, working hard all day and all night. The results were far better than I conservatively foresaw, however it was extremely draining. After a week of working myself so hard, I spent nearly three full days recuperating my energy. I felt almost energy-less throughout those three days without much ambition to do anything extra at all. Actually it was difficult to just get done what needed to be done. What made it so tiring was that I had put aside my most treasured daily rituals and doing what makes my heart sing – all to focus on leaping through this tight window. I gave up many of those things that usually refresh and replenish my energy (such as baths, writing, games, etc). I sacrificed my usual vast timelessness for results....
