The Essence of Autumn

Goodbye summer.  Thanks for the wonderful times!   Friday, September 23rd marks the beginning of the fall season, with the autumnal equinox. The equinox  has been celebrated since ancient times as having great significance.   On this day, the length of day and night are exactly equal.    Nights will become longer as autumn passes.   The essence of each season is a reflection of what is going on with us.  Read these keywords and see if you can see similarities to the cycles you are personally going through. As summer transitions into fall, p lants are supple with life. The fruits of our labor are now ripe for the picking.  Family gathers, giving thanks for the season's harvest.  Refreshing cool breezes return.  Leaves fall as mother nature clears off her branches.   This season involves a lot of activity and visible transitions. Autumn is the season of culmination, celebration, and space. If you've been dilige...

Rise and Shine!

Catch the Desire to Rise, Consistently… There is something special about entrepreneurs.   We have a different view on life.   We see through a different lens.   This lens magnifies opportunity, vision, and possibility.   We believe we can do it.   We make it happen.   We follow through with our steady drive as we develop and reach for our goals. We find a way to get what we want one way or another.   We’re tuned in to our inner voice.   We stand up for our ideals and truth, even in the face of fear.   We thrive on living life to the fullest. "You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."   - Woodrow Wilson However, we all have our days.   Sometimes it seems we’ve lost some of the air in our balloons.  ...

Who Do You Surround Yourself With?

This is one of the articles/lessons that I most appreciate.  Thought I'd revive it and take it to another level =) They say you become most like the five people you are closest to. We are truly impacted by everyone we come in contact with. Each one makes an impression somewhat, with various intensities depending on either our closeness to them or the levels of our charges on them (positive attraction or negative rejection). Either way, a simple interaction can leave us forever impacted. Whether we are conscious of it or not (most of us are too busy to pay attention), as we engage with others, our energy  is sparked in various ways. The people we spend the most time with have a great deal of influence on us and our growth.   Those we surround ourselves with are who we are becoming alike.  Are the five people you are closest to in your life pulling you up to higher levels of yourself?  Or are they bringing you down/holding you back?  Would it be...

If I Only Knew Then What I Know Now...

This timeless phrase expresses a feeling many of us have reached at least once in our lives... probably much more often than once. Simple, yet profoundly true, it reflects a shift in perspective - wisdom attained. We all learn as we go.  As we grow, we reflect back on past actions that could have had extremely different results if we had more experience at the time. Isn't it amazing how much more we can see in the same situation after a few lessons are under our belt? Imagine going back to a time in your life in which you were hesitant or unprepared and having the opportunity to relive it with all you are now. All those little steps we took led to our current foundations of wisdom. Had we not had all those realizations, we wouldn't be where we are at today. In light of this, we can be very thankful for all the small (and not so small) lessons along our paths. Recently having a birthday and going through many large life changes, it's been so interesti...

Warrior of Love

Warriors of Love are fearless in their love.    They are openly sensitive and  embrace their vulnerability.  They love without expectations or need of love in return.  It is their true nature.  They don't "give" love, they simply embody it.  They ARE love.  It emanates from them. Some people are uncomfortable with the powerful love from these warriors.   They prefer "pink sauce love" in which everything is "Love and Light", hearts and flowers, and sugar-coated.  Although its soft and fluffy, it's not real.  It often weakens people by comforting them with a temporary band-aid for staying stuck in old patterns.  They are not truly fulfilled.  They are needy and unhappy with being alone. Love Warriors are powerful .  Their love may even be fierce at times.  They aren't concerned with being nice or liked by everyone.  They only want to be True.  They are honest and outspoken.  They don't hold bac...

If Age is Nothing But a Number.....

What is your eternal age?  At what age did your birthdays "stop" taking effect? What age are you on the inside?   Some say they will be 18 forever... or 22, etc. ....So what about you? I think mine is going to be 31...  Right now I'm 30 so I'll let ya know when I get there.... =P I love 30, but it's such a transitionary number that it requires too much deep thought and life choices.  Never before have I explored myself as openly or focused on myself as much as I have since my last birthday.  And although I'm having a great time exploring myself soooo deeply, it's just a bit too serious.  However I love the changes that are in progress. =) Since I'm on the subject, I'll post what I've been discovering about aging.  So far my main observances are that as we age, there is a grumpiness that sets in... an ignorance/innocence burn-off.  Nothing major, just requires that you actually choose to be happy rather than naturally being i...

Presence and Dancing with Time

The downside of a schedule is that we often follow it to a “T” and allow it to lead us absolutely. We focus on what we “should” be doing - many times totally losing touch with the present moment and what’s happening right now. Emotions are stuffed until a better time (which usually never comes around until we are forced to face it). People are often pushed aside for tasks that seem to require attention. A more whole approach to time would be to dance with it. If you think about dancing and reflect on the analogy of it, it’s very easy to see. Let’s say you’re taking a dance class.  Consider the teacher to be your schedule. There is a learning curve in which you need to watch the teacher closely. However, you eventually want to stop looking to them during the dance; it’s best to tune in and feel the music and let it guide you. Dancing with confidence while smiling at the audience is key to a stellar performance. Staring at the teacher will leave you a beat behind, not...

A New Template of Time

I have a lot I want to do, yet I want to enjoy it all. I don't want too much rushing or working too hard that I’m exhausted. I’ve learned the hard way that I love balance and free time – and it is very good for me. When life has changes such as school starting or internal shifts in direction, I start over with fresh a clean slate and creatively develop a new intuitive strategy. One that allows me the lifestyle that’s important and has ultimate freedom within it. So this week is one of those times when it rises naturally again for me with school in session and client scheduling to figure out. I am ready to create a new template of time. I find life most refreshing when I am aware of my boundaries from a higher perspective with clarity in direction and then consciously explore and create my preferences in the details. It’s something I do incessantly out of curiosity. My little game with myself. Sometimes I get carried away figuring out what I like ...
