Warrior of Love

Warriors of Love are fearless in their love.   They are openly sensitive and embrace their vulnerability.  They love without expectations or need of love in return.  It is their true nature.  They don't "give" love, they simply embody it.  They ARE love.  It emanates from them.


Some people are uncomfortable with the powerful love from these warriors.  They prefer "pink sauce love" in which everything is "Love and Light", hearts and flowers, and sugar-coated.  Although its soft and fluffy, it's not real.  It often weakens people by comforting them with a temporary band-aid for staying stuck in old patterns.  They are not truly fulfilled.  They are needy and unhappy with being alone.


Love Warriors are powerful.  Their love may even be fierce at times.  They aren't concerned with being nice or liked by everyone.  They only want to be True.  They are honest and outspoken.  They don't hold back from opening their hearts.  They don't fear powerful, raw, messy love.  They embrace it.  


Being a Warrior of Love is to fearlessly LOVE with your full being.  To allow your deepest parts to be touched and truly loved. To walk with love, wherever you go, and resonate real true love with all those you encounter.

Licorice Grandpa

In high school I wrote this story about my beloved Grandpa Chuck.  I just read it again yesterday for the first time in 15 years to my son.  I am very thankful to remember these details I had forgotten and to share the essence of such a wonderful man with my boy.   I also realized how much of an impact he has made on me that still holds in my character today.  In memory of grandpa, here is the story.  Slightly edited. :) Licorice Grandpa My grandpa was simply the best.  There is no way I can describe what an incredible person he was.  He seemed to be the only grandpa alive who was still "a kid" inside.  It is because of these reasons that my grandpa Chuck has made an impact on how I live my life today.
