A Carrot, An Egg, and a Cup of Tea

A CARROT, AN EGG, AND A CUP OF TEA Received this in an email. Not sure who the author is... A young woman went to her mother to tell her how hard life felt. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. She was tired of fighting and struggling and wanted to give up on her dreams. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high flame. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed a carrot, in the second she placed an egg, and in the last she placed a tea bag. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word. Twenty minutes later she turned off the burners. She took the carrot out and placed it in a bowl. She pulled the egg out and placed it in another bowl. Then she poured the tea into a third bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see?" "A Carrot, an egg, and tea," the daughter replied. Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrot. She did and not...

Sacred Space in the Heart (Living in the Heart)

Written by Drunvalo Melchizadek. So much has been lost, but being eternal, it is never lost forever, only veiled! The Secret of Secrets — the hidden space within the human heart that all of creation emerges from — was in ancient times almost completely an oral tradition kept secret by the priests and shamans of the tribe or culture. Seldom was anything written down, primarily because it cannot be learned or experienced from the written word. Only through direct experience can it truly be known. Nevertheless, this month (August 2003) I am publishing a new book about this very subject. It's called Living in the Heart. What I have found is that although the direct experience is paramount to knowing the Secret of Secrets, talking or reading about the Sacred Space of the Heart can prepare the mind for this change. In order to help accomplish this change, I have created a CD that will be included in the book. It will lead you into the heart space in a similar manner that was used in anc...

Daily Prayer

Passed onto me from a friend, edited to my liking. My Divine Creator - Thanks for your magnificent presence sanctified in me. Thanks for your powers given onto me - in my soul and my body. Thanks for all of the energies I have today to sustain my services to my loved ones and to humanity, that I may recognize my opportunities for growth and improvement. Thanks for the power of the one life I feel that fills my soul with life enabling me to live the life of God. Thanks for the love that animates the universe, radiating through my being, enabling me to spread the word of God. I give thanks for the knowledge that is my divine heritage illuminating my mind, enabling me to lead others into the lighted path. ~Danielle Marie Crume

Modes of Prayer

Excerpt from Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer by Gregg Braden. Researchers suggest that we use one of these four modes of prayer, or a combination: 1. Colloquial (Informal) 2. Petitionary 3. Ritualistic 4. Meditative There is a fifth mode that has been lost in recent centuries. This mode is FEELING. This mode was recorded in ancient Gnostic and Christian traditions more than 2,000 years ago. In early translations of the biblical book of John he said, “Ask without hidden motive and be surrounded by your answer. Be surrounded by our desires fulfilled.” Jesus was quoted in the Nag Hammadi Library as saying when we say to the mountain, “Mountain move away, it will move away.” This was also the main focus of the Isaiah Scroll, perhaps the most important of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in 1946. Rather than feeling a sense of hopelessness while praying, this mode invites us to feel a clear and powerful feeling as if our prayers have already been answered. Ancients surrounded th...

Fearlessness

Excerpt from Saying Yes to Change. Fearlessness is being without self-deception. The willingness to look at ourselves and face what’s inside takes courage because we’re bound to discover things that we don’t like. There’s no hiding or denial for the brave. The catch-22 is that we don’t know what it is that we’re unwilling to see. The ego is clever and whatever makes it cringe in shame gets shoved under the covers. The only way that we can reclaim whatever its holding hostage under there is to be aware of our judgments about other people. They hold the key to what we judge most harshly about ourselves. All human beings tuck the behaviors, desires and emotions that make them feel ashamed into their shadow, which is invisible because its out of our visual field. If we could look inside, we’d see it contains all the disowned parts of ourselves that anyone we wanted to please may have criticized. In order to get their love, we became separate from ourselves. The process of sealing off sham...

Love Energy

Excerpt from Shamanic Experience by Kenneth Meadows. Love energy is the power that brought everything into existence, and from which everything is derived. The elements of Fire, Air, Water and Earth stem from it. The whole of Creation quite literally was brought about by the power of Love. The Love energy should not be confused with sex energy, though this can be a positive expression of it. In shamanic understanding, love is an unconditional sharing of the experience of life - of the Life Force - and desires only the harmonious growth and development of whatever it is directed towards. In a human being this Love energy arouses feelings of joy and happiness in both the receiver and the giver because it actually produces a secretion that nourishes not only the physical body but the entire being. That is why when you smile at someone they'll smile back - an immediate response to a warm inner feeling that someone desires their well-being. In an instant Love energy has been g...

About Me

Writing Makes My Heart Sing. My blog serves as my collection of writings, motivates me to consistently write, and gives the opportunity for others to connect with what I go through.  So many times I have been touched by the experience of another person and was grateful that they were open enough to share.  It was not easy to be so open about myself, but its been great to receive feedback from others who realize things about themselves by hearing about my experience. I am Danielle Marie Crume - a.k.a. Dani. I love sharing what I know and learn - by writing, being in service, and creating tools for exploration. I enjoy collaborating with creative individuals and entrepreneurs to nurture and develop their treasured projects. I am incredibly passionate about improvement, growth, and development. I thrive in taking opportunities beyond what is expected into mastery.   I tune in.  Daily.  I see opportunities. I develop passionately....
