What Makes Your Heart Sing?

Have you found what really makes your heart sing? Simple things can make you feel joy emanating from your heart. Tune in to what things do this for you - and then make sure you are doing them!  Notice your heart's meanderings and follow them to see where they lead. You may discover treasured joys that you aren't enjoying in your daily life. Allowing your heart to sing a little bit every day is very healthy and makes life much more enjoyable. I enjoy life so much more when I work hard and play each day. Here are some examples of things that make my heart sing: Playing games Writing Eating out with my family Exploring new places Developing creative projects Listening to music Enjoying Coffee and tea :) Walking Each day I give myself the reward of enjoying one of these, even if only for 20 minutes. Usually, I sprinkle them throughout my day. For example, I treat myself to a cup of coffee in the morning because I really love it. I spend some time wr...

The Golden Gift of Suffering

All that we perceive as suffering is really a gift. When you understand this, you can dance with it. If you don’t know what the struggle is for, it can make it really hard to keep going. Pain truly is a wonderful opportunity to heal imbalances or mistakes, move toward wholeness, and know your divine connection. Not saying it’s easy, but with the right tools and attitude, it can be much more enjoyable. We are here to learn, grow, and experience. Throughout life, lessons never cease. Sometimes we open to them easily and learn them naturally. They can be fun explorations. Sometimes we seem to learn the hard way and really struggle with our lessons. In my experience, I find we are continuously given chances to learn our particular lessons. When we seem to be stuck in an area or on a particular level of understanding about a topic, the opportunities seem to get more and more in our face (A.K.A. painful) – until we can’t miss them. All of our situations are attrac...

Challenging Times: A Deeper Look

Having a tough time lately? Are you feeling extremely challenged? It seems, for many of us (me included), to be a time of great consistent challenges (with a few rewards in between). I know at times it is hard to remember, but CHALLENGES ARE A GOOD THING! Our greatest challenges are also our greatest opportunities . It is those challenges that are most personally trying that later become our greatest strengths. Just as authors write the books they needed to read, you will become the best teacher in the areas that are most challenging to you. A shift of perspective may reveal an invisible line that connects the dots in your puzzle. 1. Get into the habit of changing your perspective to see the opportunity. When you feel the frustration, irritation, and stress: Pause. Turn inward. Create space to focus on the opportunity being presented. Sometimes it helps to get out to get a fresh perspective. Other times it helps to settle in and open up a journal to jot...

A New Year's Compass - Tool of Self Alignment for Starting Anew.

Ready for a Fresh Start for the New Year? I am! I feel very excited. It feels like the right time to let go of things that I no longer need or prefer to have in my life anymore and to stand up to new levels of growth and experience. This week, I felt tuned inward, like I've been tending to some inner work and resting, in preparation for a great start in the New Year. As it gets closer, I am more enthusiastic about it. I feel very ready for moving forward. Exercises to Renew Your Experience and Start Your Year Off Brand New Ring in the New Year by celebrating your experience, growth, and love. Do something that is very fun for *you*. Spruce up your desk area with creative objects such as a new set of colorful pens, an array of sticky notes, a rubber band ball, new pictures, etc. Organizing and cleaning always helps to tidy us up on a deeper level too. I Can't Believe I Am 30!!! Reflections and the Future...

There’s always some sadness as I feel that time is slipping away. Never again in this lifetime will I be a young girl in my teens or twenties. Those days are behind me now - for good. It’s a reminder that this beautiful life is not forever… being with that thought both hurts and relieves me at the same time. However, it is with incredible enthusiasm that I step forward. Each day I become more me . Now I stand on a greater foundation, with outstanding vision, faith, and a solid relationship with my self. It seems every birthday brings some kind of weird mood. It's something nearly all of us go through, I think. On my 26 th birthday I decided I was no longer a helpless princess. On that day I first faced the feelings of getting older. “What more is there to look forward to?” I questioned my self. “No more exciting birthdays in the future?” At that moment, I decided to change into a Queen. It was a mindset shift into greater power within myself...

Just One Step at a Time

Life is challenging. At times it seems like a test - or perhaps a final exam. It can feel like a culmination of your previous lessons where everything is on the line and every move you make is extremely important. At these pivotal points - and sometimes in our regular daily active life - it can seem impossible to make it. Or perhaps not worth the trouble. But these challenges are the exact things that we need to grow. As we master our smaller lessons, they get bigger and may seem impossible at times. It's important to trust, especially when everything is on the line. Notice it always works out somehow. Check your faith and your "talk" or ideals. While you're at it, step more fully into it. "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see". ~ Hebrews 11:1 Although you can't always see how everything can work out, you often can see the next step to take. There may be several options and it m...

Six Ways to Make People Like You....

Read this in a book a while back. I picked it up because I thought it was kinda funny and would be interesting. Just found the notes I had taken... Helpful things for us to keep in mind. Good for me to reconnect with too. We could all learn a bit about relationships and connecting with others! :) Six Ways to Make People Like You: 1. Become genuinely interested in others. 2. Smile. 3. Remember that a man's name is to him the sweetest and most important sound in the English language. 4. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves. 5. Talk in terms of the other person's interest. 6. Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely. Can't we all just get along? :) Have fun!

A New Template of Time

I have a lot I want to do, yet I want to enjoy it all. I don't want too much rushing or working too hard that I’m exhausted. I’ve learned the hard way that I love balance and free time – and it is very good for me. When life has changes such as school starting or internal shifts in direction, I start over with fresh a clean slate and creatively develop a new intuitive strategy. One that allows me the lifestyle that’s important and has ultimate freedom within it. So this week is one of those times when it rises naturally again for me with school in session and client scheduling to figure out. I am ready to create a new template of time. I find life most refreshing when I am aware of my boundaries from a higher perspective with clarity in direction and then consciously explore and create my preferences in the details. It’s something I do incessantly out of curiosity. My little game with myself. Sometimes I get carried away figuring out what I like ...

September Strategy: Push It Through

I always love playing with life and the exploration of it. A classic Sagittarius, some say… In recent weeks I’ve been working on my biggest projects (both work and creative endeavors) and developing them greatly. What I am doing now is more heartfelt than ever before. However, it also brings an overwhelm of things to do… This month brings the opportunity to push these projects through on a new level. An emergence and breakthrough. What’s rising: Focus on what is clear and true. The real work. No distractions. Roll up sleeves, apply self-discipline, and get the job done. Keep consistent open navigation. Notice new ideas and methods. Create regular space to receive creative ideas and fresh opportunities. Nurture energy with healthy conditions and cleanse excesses. Go toward where happiness is felt in the heart. Autumn’s harvest is just around the corner… what are you harvesting? Enjoy the last two weeks of ...
