The Essence of Autumn

Goodbye summer.  Thanks for the wonderful times!   Friday, September 23rd marks the beginning of the fall season, with the autumnal equinox. The equinox  has been celebrated since ancient times as having great significance.   On this day, the length of day and night are exactly equal.    Nights will become longer as autumn passes.   The essence of each season is a reflection of what is going on with us.  Read these keywords and see if you can see similarities to the cycles you are personally going through. As summer transitions into fall, p lants are supple with life. The fruits of our labor are now ripe for the picking.  Family gathers, giving thanks for the season's harvest.  Refreshing cool breezes return.  Leaves fall as mother nature clears off her branches.   This season involves a lot of activity and visible transitions. Autumn is the season of culmination, celebration, and space. If you've been dilige...

Spring Forward: The Essence of the Spring Season

Beginning. Planting Seeds. This Sunday spring officially begins!  It's my personal favorite change of the year in which the flowers bloom and the weather warms up. Spring marks the beginning of the annual cycle of life. Many ancient systems such as the astrological, Egyptian, and Persian calendars celebrate their new year on the vernal equinox⎯the first day of spring. Held in the cold Earth during winter, seeds and bulbs have undergone changes invisible to our eyes. Bulbs that contain flowers such as daffodils are now blossoming. Nature reflects what is happening within us.  As spring time blossoms, many great achievements are born from a small, dark space. All of the information that you collected during winter is now ready to be utilized and grow. As spring begins, Earth wakes up from hibernation, anew. The land covers with green vegetation and fresh life is everywhere. On the equinox, day and night are closest to being equal in length. Over the season, th...

A New Year's Compass - Tool of Self Alignment for Starting Anew.

Ready for a Fresh Start for the New Year? I am! I feel very excited. It feels like the right time to let go of things that I no longer need or prefer to have in my life anymore and to stand up to new levels of growth and experience. This week, I felt tuned inward, like I've been tending to some inner work and resting, in preparation for a great start in the New Year. As it gets closer, I am more enthusiastic about it. I feel very ready for moving forward. Exercises to Renew Your Experience and Start Your Year Off Brand New Ring in the New Year by celebrating your experience, growth, and love. September Strategy: Push It Through

I always love playing with life and the exploration of it. A classic Sagittarius, some say… In recent weeks I’ve been working on my biggest projects (both work and creative endeavors) and developing them greatly. What I am doing now is more heartfelt than ever before. However, it also brings an overwhelm of things to do… This month brings the opportunity to push these projects through on a new level. An emergence and breakthrough. What’s rising: Focus on what is clear and true. The real work. No distractions. Roll up sleeves, apply self-discipline, and get the job done. Keep consistent open navigation. Notice new ideas and methods. Create regular space to receive creative ideas and fresh opportunities. Nurture energy with healthy conditions and cleanse excesses. Go toward where happiness is felt in the heart. Autumn’s harvest is just around the corner… what are you harvesting? Enjoy the last two weeks of ...

The Day Out of Time - July 25th

July 25th is celebrated as a Day Out of Time on the Thirteen Moon calendar. The essence of this day is a beautiful one that I love to celebrate. A brief background: The Thirteen Moon calendar is presented as a conscious radical alternative to our modern Gregorian calendar. The philosophy behind it is to renew and revision our world beginning with taking back our time - by changing the calendar to "r eclaim the natural rhythm!" Both the Thirteen Moon and Mayan calendars were created with the purpose of orienting consciousness to the larger flow of divine creation. The intention of these calendars is to remind people of the true essence of time and to guide it's use to create heaven on Earth. Heaven is attained by flowing with creation. Rather than time passing by, they flow in it. They have a whole different presence with and concept of time; they live it as art and participate in divine creation. This is made possible by aligning with and being centered in the follo...

A Real Treasure Map

So you thought treasure maps were things that kids make-believe.... of course. However, there is a real treasure map - for people of all ages. Yes, grown-ups too. This exercise is a lot of fun with the great benefits of exploration and clarity. It is a vision board exercise for your inner child that also plays on your highest goals. It's a vision statement in picture form. And the bonus prize is that you have a wonderful reminder of it to hang up and be refreshed by daily. Spring is the ideal time to plant the seeds of projects that you'll be working on for the year. It is a time of pregnancy and birthing. As we only have a few days left ( summer begins this weekend ), now is a perfect time to wrap up the process of getting your seeds planted. Be selective of what you invest your energy into. In summer, it will be perfect to tend and nurture these seeds you plant. So take a break from your usual busy-ness and take a healthy stretch of your imagination! Each of th...

The Yearly Cycle

Celebrate the essence of the current season by working with the natural energies that arise during it.  Making the best of what is, rather than dreading the change, always makes the time more fun. Different times of the year have naturally occurring aspects that result from their key characteristics.  Today I came across the chart below while reading a book. The keys of each time that it highlights are very similar to what I recognize from my own findings in the cycles of time. Throughout each cycle, I connect more deeply with the divinity of the current moment in time. Aligning with the seasons allows me a greater feeling of connection and purpose.  Take a moment to connect with the keywords used. Let go of barriers you may have and feel what opens as you sync with the cycles of Earth .  Yearly Cycle Seasonal Festivals of Ancients in the Northern Hemisphere. The Sixth Day. Consciousness Surpasses Technology.

November 13, 2008 The mayan calendar switches to the sixth day today. This day is symbolized as consciousness surpassing technology. If you haven't learned about the amazing beauty of the mayan calendar yet, I highly recommended exploring it for a few minutes. Not only is it an enjoyable new perspective, it is incredibly interesting. To quickly overview, and drastically short-change you on the interesting details, I will share my super-condensed notes from a reality-shifting video I watched a few years ago. Enjoy a short journey of creative ponderance and open your imagination. I'm sure it will be a nice retreat for a few minutes! Calendars such as the Mayan, Tibetan, Hebrew, Egyptian and Maori followed a 360-day Divine calendar. This was based on the flow of creation, breaking up time into cycles of 7 days and 6 nights. Each of these days and nights has an intention. The days are the dawning of an age while the night is the application of it. Their calendars track...

Embodying Spaciousness and Mac Clean Up Tips

Autumn is ideal for harvesting and creating spaciousness. I am embodying this in many ways. Spaciousness is the highest priority in my life personally right now. I went from feeling like I lived on an empty field in life (painfully empty) to now being blessed with a full harvest… however this harvest is too much! Now I realize this is much more than I want to maintain. I need time in life to simply enjoy it all more. So I’ve let go. I’ve reduced the amount of time I spend “working” on one creative project or another and am now enjoying the freedom of space. I have a basic weekly template, which provides room for everything important to me. My days are now much more open for time to just be. I feel free. I’ve reached a healthy and fulfilling balance of moving toward my goals and highest aspirations while staying on top of regular duties of life. I’m also going through a six-week O C E A N with Ejuva cleanse right now which is really bringing the process into my whole conscio...

Goals into Seeds

Friday will be summer already! It is always amazing to me how fast time can go and how much activity can happen so quickly. Use this last week to finish planting your seeds. You have until Thursday to get whatever it is you want to do, started. Even if you just have an Org Sesh (organization session you schedule with yourself), at least get started. Get your seeds in fertile soil to give them an opportunity to grow this cycle. In summer, you will nurture these seeds into flowers and fruit. NewScientist just announced that a 2,000 year old seed sprouted. It was finally just planted in the soil after it's original discovery in the 1960's. The big seasonal project of spring was to redo our goals. I just reviewed mine last week and decided to type them up to hang in my bedroom and to share with others. These are some of the key ones I came up with, which I am most happy about. Personal Goals - Spring 2008 Self Development -Daily focus of energy is creative with a cle...
