Breaking up large projects or heavy mental activity with physical activities can refresh your energy and concentration, allowing you to get done much faster – and create much better work.
Every so often, take a break. Get off the computer, get out of your chair, get up, and do some type of light physical activity. Try going for a walk or sweeping.
Setting up your environment and cleaning it so that it’s clear and feels good to be in not only breaks up your energy, but also helps you focus on what you want to get done. A workspace that is ready encourages your higher development of the work that you are committed to.
Do whatever feels refreshing for you. Before your settle back in, make sure your desk is clean, your mind is clear, and you have all the tools you need within reach. Get yourself a drink of water to keep near. Tea is also a great way of kicking up light energy.
When all is in order, you can focus on your magic and fly through your project with a greater level of presence and creative energy.
As things come up during your process of working, note them in your planner to be dealt with once you’re done, let them go for now, and keep your focus on what you are in the process of. Distractions cost an average of fifteen minutes each time before your original focus is again reached.
If you have an emotion or some happening that feels like it’s hanging over your head or diverting your attention, take a moment out to address what is rising. Don’t let everything interrupt you, but do address your feelings as priority. When you return back to your work, you can freely concentrate and finish it up.
How do you keep your higher focus?
To happy working!
